Hello. I'm going to tell you an easy tutorial: making musics fade in instead of stop immediately. ---- All you need is: 1. Basic triggering or higher 2. Any wc3 world editor. ----
Step 1: Make a variable named "MusicVolumeVar" with the type Real. Then make a trigger named "Music Volume" and make the Intially On box unchecked. (The name is not really necessary)
Step 2: In the "Music Volume" trigger, add the event "Time - Every 0.20 seconds of game time" (Time - Periodic Event). Add the action "If (conditions) then do (then actions) else do (else actions)", on the If conditions add "(MusicVolumeVar) greater than 0.00". On the then do actions add "Set MusicVolumeVar = (MusicVolumeVar - 0.10 (remember this one is arithmatic))" then add "Set music volume to MusicVolumeVar". Done? Minimize this "If (conditions) then do (then actions) else do (else actions)" action (not necessary, just for noobs)
Step 3: Now to reset the variable. Below the last "If (conditions) then do (then actions) else do (else actions)" action, create a new "If (conditions) then do (then actions) else do (else actions)". On the If condition add "(MusicVolumeVar) Less than or equal to 0.00" On the then actions add "Trigger - Turn off (this trigg er)" then add "Sound - Stop music immediately", then add "Set MusicVolumeVar = 100.00". That should do it!
Note: 1) You must enable this trigger to make ALL music fade in. 2) If you want just one of your music to fade in then use your music as sound in the sound editor. It'll be more accurate on Sounds. But more tiring (maybe)
